ACOMB FLOWER GUILD
was founded in 1968 and is affiliated to NAFAS. We currently have 74 members. Meetings are usually held on the first Tuesday of each month commencing at 7.15pm. There is no meeting in August. Visitors and new members are very welcome.
We meet at Acomb Church Hall which is situated on Front Street Acomb, York YO24 3BZ
There is wheelchair access to the Church Hall and limited parking at the front of the Church Hall. Nearby parking is available behind Morrisons Supermarket.
Our meetings are a great way of socialising as well as learning skills in Floral Art through our programme which consists of Practice nights, demonstrations and workshops. Refreshments of tea and coffee are served and we also have a shop where members can purchase materials/accessories for flower arranging. Acomb Flower Guild also take part in flower festivals and support Harrogate Flower Shows. Various excursions are also organised throughout the year.
New members and guests are very welcome. Subscriptions for 2011/12 remain at £20 for a further year. Visitors £4 for practice nights and workshops. Demonstration evenings £5, except Christmas Demonstrations.
